The Real Reason Joe Needs to Go

I wanted to follow up on last week’s blog to clarify my thoughts on Joe Biden. I certainly did not mean to imply that being a pervert would keep Biden (or anyone else) from being an effective President. For example, Bill Clinton, perhaps the most sex-crazed occupant of the Oval Office was in many ways an excellent President. Honestly, there are more serious issues with Biden.

And no, I’m not going with corruption. He’s a career politician and surely no more corrupt than say Hillary Clinton or Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer or Adam Schiff or Jerry Nadler or an endless roll call of others. “Public Servants” who become millionaires are hardly putting the needs of the public anywhere near the top of their list of priorities.

Although the sexual allegations and the history of corruption are certainly reasons that might disqualify a candidate, neither are the biggest concern many have with Joe Biden. Consider the true elephant in the room – his mental state. Does anyone seriously not believe the man has issues? I’m no doctor, nor do I play one on TV, but some things are just obvious. I willing admit that my memory is not what it used to be. (I’m still brilliant, of course, just at a little slower speed!) At my age, I forget things. But I’m not applying for the job of running the whole country! And of course, Biden’s problems are more serious than just simply forgetting a few things. He’s frequently incoherent. He repeats himself. He can’t keep up with what state he’s in or what office he’s running for. He can’t remember the most well known lines from the Declaration of Independence. Is he really competent to hold the most powerful office in the country? The world?

Shamefully, his family and the DNC seem content to trot him out to take on Trump. You know the DNC is ecstatic about the virus that is allowing them to keep him parked at home far away from the campaign trail. Four years ago, they almost killed Hillary dragging her around and she looks pretty healthy compared to Joe. And you know they dread the thought of putting him on a debate stage with Donald Trump. Actually, it might be more accurate to say they are scared to death of the very thought of such a debate!

So, what should the Democrats do? Right now, they have two easy outs should they choose to use them. Citing either the sexual allegations or the corruption issues, they could find a way to spin the story and have him bow out gracefully. Or go with some kind of generic health issues and let the poor man go home and retire in peace.

Of course, more than likely, the Democrats will go with the least humane option. I really believe they will load up the Vice President slot with their preferred choice and then drag poor Joe across the finish line even if it kills him. Sad to think that could happen, but remember, this is the party that will do anything, illegal, immoral, unethical, or not to defeat President Trump. They have already shown their complete willingness to destroy the country’s economy to gain political advantage. Do we really think concern for a fellow human being will make them hold back? Not likely.
