Why Are People Still Voting Blue?

Let me say the most important part up front. Please stop voting for personalities instead of platforms and positions!

I have said before that I personally know good people (even good Christian people) who are Democrats, and yet, I cannot understand their willingness to continually support and vote for candidates who endorse wildly perverse positions on a variety of issues. Sadly, I still believe a majority of these voters are ignorant and grossly uninformed. Or perhaps, like the Thessalonians, they have been sent a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false. (2 Thessalonians 2:11) Not to mention, the millions of citizens who suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome. For the last time, your hatred for Trump does not justify voting for people who don’t share your own beliefs!

Anyway, let’s be clear about who the Democrats are and what they stand for. According to their official website “Democrats believe that every American deserves a fair shot at the American dream. We’re focused on lowering costs, improving healthcare, creating jobs, ending corruption, and protecting our democracy.” (We Are the Democratic Party. - Democrats) Honestly, it sounds great, but unfortunately, empty words and promises don’t count for much. On a recent podcast, Adam Carolla did a wonderful job explaining how virtually every one of the stated goals of the Democrats are shared by the Republican Party. Do you really think that Republicans don’t want to accomplish these exact same things? The difference is how each Party addresses the issues. To put it simply, the problem is not what they preach, it’s what they practice.

Democrats want to lower costs? What about that record inflation during the Biden years? And why do they keep raising our taxes? And how much are gas prices affected by all the pipelines closed by Democratic administrations, and their war on American energy in service of the Green New Deal?

Improving healthcare? The Affordable Care Act didn’t turn out to be so affordable. But let’s get real. For Democrats, healthcare means abortion. Any time, any place, even after the baby is born!

Creating jobs? What about all those businesses that were forced to close due to the Democrat’s CoVid rules and regulations?

Ending corruption? But only if it’s a Republican. The fraud and corruption uncovered by DOGE doesn’t count, right, because of hatred for Trump?

Protecting our democracy? How? By packing the Supreme Court? Or throwing out the filibuster? Or just replacing it with Socialism?

And since we’re on the subject – what about all those “Democratic” candidates who are actually Democratic Socialists? Do the average Liberal Democrat voters even care? Or do they even understand what it is they are voting for? In my opinion, they are nothing more than another bunch of so-called Democrats who want to “fundamentally change our country.” In other words, end our democracy (actually a constitutional republic) and make America a socialist country. You know, a system of government that has failed in every country in which it has been tried! But hey, we hate Trump, so ...

Let’s be clear. Forget all the nice words and consider the actions of the Democrats and the way they vote on actual issues. With politicians, it can be very easy to judge their true intent. Compare their campaign slogans and promises against their voting history. Forget what they say, and look at what they have actually done! Or want to do!

Democrats are FOR abortion. FOR open borders. FOR Illegal immigrants over American citizens. FOR criminals over their victims. FOR defunding the police and abolishing ICE. FOR mutilating our children under the guise of gender affirming care. FOR biological males ruining women’s sports, and freely entering women’s restrooms and locker rooms. FOR raising taxes and spending on everything under the sun. FOR Socialism over democracy. AGAINST voter ID and securing our elections. If you believe otherwise, you are fooling yourself. These are people who hate America and are actively trying to destroy our country!

Final Thoughts

Get out and vote! But consider carefully how you do. If you are voting for any Democrat at any level of government, I hope you realize what you are supporting. Read the previous paragraph again. Don’t be fooled by their words.

And if you are NOT voting, don’t deceive yourself. You ARE voting. You are choosing by default, and often placing in power people who may not share your values and beliefs. That is also foolish.

I don’t claim to know all the answers, and I wouldn’t presume to tell anyone how to vote, but I encourage you to be smart. Understand that the people you elect are supposed to represent YOU. They are supposed to make, and enforce, and judge laws the way that YOU would. Be sure you’re sending the right people to do that job.
